Software Tools

We apply software tools that are most applicable to each situation. For example, we deploy web technologies that work with the greatest range of desktop operating system vendors, so you are not forced into buying from one or another vendor for compatibility reasons.

We participate in and regularly contribute to these open source software projects:

We prefer using open source, standardized solutions when adequate and available:

to minimize individual overhead costs associated with operating closed-source licensed software.
to minimize risk from vendor-based feature freezes, and imposed changes or feature loss.
to benefit from extended coordinated technology improvement efforts across industries.
to collaborate with others like ourselves, who enjoy working (often for free) on useful software niches.
